Absolutely everything starts with one single idea. It’s what you do with that idea that can make all the difference in the world. Some ideas change the world with a cure for a disease and others change the world by giving us gamers something to pass the time with or be completely addicted to. This in turn keeps us delinquents from causing trouble elsewhere. Each idea can be monumentally important, but in different ways. That doesn’t make either idea more important or less important than the other. (Although I must admit the idea that gives us the cure for cancer, Diabetes, or any other disease that ails the world will definitely trump any game.)
What makes a good game is different for all of us but that doesn’t stop programmers from trying to capture as many dedicated players as they can. They do this by making the best game they can and by taking their players ideas and implementing the feasible ones.
Sometimes the best ideas come from others; sometimes they come in the middle of the night. Sometimes it doesn’t matter where the idea came from so long as it’s a good one.
Programmers do their best at making a good game and sometimes that means starting over or rewriting your base or even completely scrapping a piece of code and starting over. Sometimes you even learn from others mistakes and decide that the best way is a different way.
In this case the best way is to change the language the game is programmed in to a different code (Delphi) to make the server core more stable. The way Delphi handles code makes it a more stable solution. This doesn’t mean that it won’t change later but with a stable core comes a more stable game, which makes us gamers VERY happy.
The sprite engine is working but it still needs to be tweaked to make it talk to the server. The database and server are sorted out.
We just threw some ideas around and we'll throw some more around until we come up with a good base, then we'll have an Admin testing to try out those ideas to make sure they work well. We'll fix whatever is broken, tweak what needs to be tweaked and then hopefully open it for Beta.
During Beta there will be the Admins and probably a small group of players to test out the game. More fixing and tweaking will happen then all of the other stuff can be added, like quests and anything that might be missing.
I can't wait!

The Story so far
Four kingdoms is a 2d mmorpg based in medieval times starting out in medieval England as the theme, the administrators of the game will hold an advisory role to players who will be given a special rank of king, these players will be voted on once a month and they will decide the punishment for troublemakers, there will be a lot of special functions introduced to this game such as:
**the ability to make your own home
**become a market trader (so as not to be bored stiff all day by standing in one spot we will be introducing a special feature where you can rent a non playable character for the day to sell items and he will take 10% of your total earnings)
other features (in the future):
**Magistrates who will be players who join what we call the Magistrates Core (police force for the game)
**job classes and jobs themselves, some of the jobs will include knight, priest, poet, trader, magician, blacksmith, trainer and so on also jobs will depend on actions in the game and probably wont be introduced until the 5th version as there is a lot of programing work included in making them
**there will be a war once a week with a rival kingdom that the king might declare war on, if that kingdom should win then it will control the other kingdom until its king is re-elected or killed by an assassin (that job wont be available for some time tho)
**there will be many secret items in the game that there will only be one of in each kingdom and these items belong to the kings and if found must be given to them(if one king runs all four kingdoms then he will own all 4 items) and if all items are owned by one person he gets a special treat tho i wont say what as it would be more fun to find out for yourselves
that's all for now folks so stay tuned as i will be updating this blog on a regular basis
anyways see you soon gamers and have fun.
